microphone will be even less sensitive to sound arriving from the sides
and rear, which helps to further reduce the feedback risk presented by
monitor speakers on stage. When recording (at home or in the studio),
use the microphone in its cardioid mode, e.g. if you want to capture a
certain amount of natural reverb along with the sound of the voice or
instrument.

Intelligibility:
The supplied PB 1000 Presence Boost attachment (see fig. 4a) provides
a boost of approx. 5 dB between 5 kHz and 9 kHz for optimum intelligi-
bility of speech.
Installing the PB 1000 and PPC 1000:
1. Unscrew and remove the wire mesh cap.
2. Slip the PB 1000 or PPC 1000 on the microphone capsule to the
stop, slightly turning the attachment as you push it home.
Important
When installing or removing the PB 1000 or PPC 1000, make sure to
grip the capsule and shock mount firmly with your thumb and forefinger
as shown in fig. 4b in order to prevent the capsule being severed from
the shock mount.
