Installation Instructions:
Use the four screws to attach the mounting bracket to the wall. This should be mounted near the water supply. The hose should
supply no more than 90 psi. There is no minimum flow rate requirement.
1.
Attach the twelve foot delivery hose to the "out" connection on the deionizer head.
2.
Attach the six foot supply hose to the "in" connection on the deionizer head. Connect to the water supply.
3.
Install quick check monitor. Insert the probe completely into the fitting on top of the housing. Mount the display
using the tape on the back of the unit.
Operation Instructions:
1.
Water batteries after charging.
2.
Mate the connectors. When the connection is made, the flow indicator will start spinning indicating that water is
flowing into the battery cells.
3.
After flow indicator stops spinning, immediately disconnect by pushing the button of the female connector.
4.
Repeat with next battery.
Quick Check Monitor:
Push test button to check. "Good" indicates cartridge does not need to be replaced. "Service" indicates cartridge replacement is
needed. *See Filter Cartridge Replacement below.
Changing the Quick Check Monitor Batteries:
1.
Open the back panel with a screwdriver.
2.
Remove the batteries.
3.
Replace with 4 new batteries (size 389-A). Ensure the polarity is correct.
4.
Close the back panel and replace the screws.
Filter Cartridge Replacement:
1.
Turn off water supply. Press red pressure-relief button (if present).
2.
Unscrew housing. Remove large o-ring, wipe clean, and set aside.
3.
Discard used filter cartridge. Wash housing with dish soap and warm water using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
Rinse thoroughly. Fill 1/3 with water. Add about 1 tablespoon of bleach and scrub to disinfect. Rinse thoroughly.
4.
Lubricate o-ring with clean silicone grease. Insert o-ring in groove.
NOTE: This step is important to ensure a proper housing seal. Make certain the o-ring is seated level in the groove.
5. Insert new filter cartridge making sure the top is facing up as indicated.
6. Screw housing onto the cap and hand-tighten. Do not over-tighten. Make sure cap standpipe slips into
cartridge.
7. Turn on water supply. Press pressure-relief button to vent excess air (if present). Check for leaks
before leaving installation.
CAUTION: If a deionizer or other delivery system is being stored in freezing conditions, the water should be drained to prevent
freezing or damage.
