MAKING A CUT
For general use, follow the operating instructions
for SKILSAW SPT79A .
Always hold the tool by the main handle with one
hand and the side handle with the other . Tip the
tool back on the rear wheels . Align the tool with the
intended line of cut using line guides . Note that the
newly-installed line guide wheel can function as
an additional line guide . (Fig . 13) .
Maintain a firm grip and operate the switch with a
decisive action. Never force the tool. Lower the
wheel into material to be cut . The cutting wheel will
cut the concrete at the optimal preset depth of
1-1/2" (38 mm) .
To prevent joint damage at all intersecting cross
cuts, install joint protectors at each joint .
To prevent concrete damage, install an additional
joint protector in area(s) where the right wheel will
cross the joint .
Thoroughly clean this early
CAUTION
entry attachment immedi-
ately after use before the concrete deposit
dries. Concrete buildup may interfere with the
safe and efficient operation of the attachment.
Examine the inside of the guard behind the dia-
mond wheel . Wet concrete may accumulate
there and interfere with the safe and efficient op-
eration of the attachment .
