Disconnect the saw from the
WARNING
power source before making
any assembly, adjustments or changing ac-
cessories. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally .
ATTACHING THE EARLY ENTRY
DIAMOND WHEEL
Use only SKILSAW early
CAUTION
entry diamond wheel with
this attachment. Using other wheels will lead to
unsatisfactory results and possible damage to
the tool or work area .
1 . Tip the tool back with the guard facing up .
2 . Press the lock button (on the back of the
saw) and turn the wheel bolt using the 1/2"
slot of the wrench (included with the saw and

stored in the foot of the saw) until the lock
button engages . The shaft is now locked .
Continue to depress button, turn wrench
clockwise and remove the wheel bolt and
OUTER WASHER (Fig . 3) .
3 . Make sure that the arrow on the diamond
wheel is pointing in the same direction as the
arrow on the guard .
4 . Slide the diamond wheel into the guard and
mount it against the INNER WASHER on the
shaft . Be sure that the large diameter of the
INNER and OUTER washers lay flush
against the diamond wheel .
5 . Reinstall the OUTER WASHER . First tighten
the wheel bolt finger tight, then tighten the
wheel bolt 1/8 turn (45˚) with the wrench pro-
vided. Do not use wrenches with longer han-
dles, since it may lead to over tightening of
the wheel bolt .
NOTE: Install a new skid plate every time a new
early entry diamond wheel is installed . SKILSAW
set SPT5008-EA includes 1 (one) replacement
wheel and 1 (one) replacement skid plate .
