ABOUT THE CLEANING SYMBOL

The cleaning symbol in the display indicates that the
appliance must be cleaned:
The symbol automatically goes off when descaling
mode is ended.
To make the symbol disappear manually, press both
setting buttons at the same time for about five sec-
onds.

DESCALING MODE

Descaling mode allows for easy cleaning and des-
caling of the evaporator basin, water base and
steam tube.
Only use CalcOff for descaling. Damage
caused by other descaling agents is excluded
from the warranty.

DESCALING

Make sure that no water flows into the venti-
lation opening.
1. Remove the A451 Anti-Mineral-Pad.
2. Dissolve one bag of A7417 CalcOff in 1 liter (0.26
US gal) of hot water.
3. Pour the solution directly into the water base.
4. Insert the steam tube.
5. Put the appliance cover back on.
