Before use
Power Take Off (PTO)
Before coupling, uncoupling, cleaning or
adjusting PTO driven implements, disengage the
PTO drive, stop the engine and make sure that
the PTO shaft (L) has stopped spinning.
NEVER stand between the walking tractor and
the implement when operating the controls.
Tow hook (G) is just used to tow a seat if required.
Power take off and tow hook.
Use of fuel in safety conditions
Diesel fuel and petrol (gasoline) are inflammable and must
therefore be handled with care.
Never smoke while refuelling or servicing the fuel system.
Never refuel or service the machine near naked flames or
flying sparks.
Never refuel the walking tractor with the engine running
or hot.
Never refuel from cans unless you have to.
Always clean up any spillage after refuelling.
Keep the walking tractor clean in order to avoid any fire risk.
Battery
Battery acid can be dangerous. Handle with care.
Always wear rubber gloves and a protective mask when working with battery acid.
Keep naked flames away from the battery. Use only proper voltmeters to check the battery power.
When disconnecting the battery, disconnect the negative terminal first.
ATTENTION
Before servicing the machine, always disconnect the negative battery terminal before the positive one.
Safety devices
The machine has two important safety devices to ensure utmost safety during work:
1) Reverse engaging safety device; prevents the reverse gear from being engaged when the PTO is
engaged.
If the machine has a reverse gear, this will not be engaged whether work is being carried out with the
rotary hoe or the front mowing bar.
To ensure that the safety device operates correctly, the reverse control lever must be set in the right
running direction.
