5. When the surgical procedure or use of the bougie is
completed, turn the light source off and disconnect the
InnerVision TM System from the light source. Hold the
black finger grip and pull the connector away from the
light source. Pulling on any other part of the cable will
result in damage to the fiber optics in the cable.
6. As the InnerVision TM is removed from the esophagus,
the Detachable Tip must not be bent past 45 degrees at
the connector; thermal injury would then be possible
through the sidewall of the tip.
7. To remove the Detachable Tip, grasp the tip near the
proximal end of the Fiber Optic Cable. With hands
close together, rotate the hand holding the tip in a peel-
ing motion (see Figure 4). Do not pull the tip horizon-
tally as damage to the connector on the cable and dam-
age to the fiber optics will occur (see Figure 5). The
Detachable Tip is discarded and the Fiber Optic Cable
is cleaned and sterilized for future use.

OTHER TRANSILLUMINATION
The same principles apply for the rectosigmoid or other
uses. It is customary to have separate InnerVision
Systems for esophageal and rectal uses.
STORAGE
The InnerVision TM Fiber Optic Cable should be stored in
a cool, dry place in temperatures not exceeding 25º C.
The original carton lined with foam provides an adequate
storage environment for the Fiber Optic Cable. Do not
tightly coil or kink the cable while storing the
InnerVision TM System.

within 30 days of invoice to be eligible for credit or
replacement. Returned products may be subject to
restocking charges.
MEDOV ATIONS W ARRANTY
Limited Warranty, Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer.
Medovations warrants to the purchaser that: (a) the
InnerVision TM Transillumination Fiber Optic Cable will
be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a
period of twelve (12) months from the time of shipment.
Because Medovations has no control over the conditions
of use, patient selections, surgical procedure, post-surgical
stresses, or handling of the device after it leaves our pos-
session, Medovations does not warrant either a good
effect, or against an ill effect following its use. Any mis-
use or mishandling of the InnerVision
Transillumination Fiber Optic Cable will render the fore-
going limited warranty void and of no effect. If
Medovations determines that the InnerVision
Transillumination Fiber Optic Cable did not comply with
the foregoing limited warranty at the time of shipment,
Medovations will replace the nonconforming
InnerVision TM Transillumination Fiber Optic Cable free
of charge. The remedy of replacement is the sole and
exclusive remedy for breach of the foregoing limited war-
ranty. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN
LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW
OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED
TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MER-
CHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
