General information

These operating instructions are applicable to the Bosch EX-
ACT Configurator program (Version 5.1). All program func-
tions and options have been included.
Product names, company names and designations in these
operating instructions may be trademarks or registered
trademarks of other companies (e.g. WINDOWS®) and are
mentioned in this manual only in an explanatory capacity,
with no intention of infringing upon trademark rights.
User Profile
These operating instructions have been produced for users
who are trained in the system. Users must be familiar with
the basic functions of Windows interface graphics.

Safety instructions

Read all safety and general in-

structions enclosed with the pro-
gram and the power tool. Failure to observe the safety in-
structions and the following instructions may result in loss of
data, electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep all the safety and general instructions for future
reference.
Anyone responsible for configuring a power tool must fa-

miliarise themselves with the operating manual, and in
particular the safety instructions and instructions con-
tained therein.
Only staff with the relevant authority and training are per-
u
mitted to configure power tools.
Intended Use
The intended purpose of the Bosch EXACT Configurator
program is solely to configure Bosch power tools in the EX-
ACT ION, ANGLE EXACT ION, EXACT 12V and ANGLE EX-
ACT 12V series.
Writing Conventions
The following conventions are used in this manual to mark
specific information:
– Bold
File names and control elements of Windows dialogue
boxes, i.e. the names of menus, commands and buttons
as well as dialogue box titles and field names; for ex-
ample: End, Device Type
– I talic
Field contents and character strings for selection in entry
fields
For example: Buzzer is used

Installation
System Requirements
The Bosch EXACT Configurator program must be installed
on a PC with the following system requirements:
– Operating system Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit version) or
Windows 10 (32- or 64-bit version)
– Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2
– 50 MB free storage space for installation
– Mouse or a suitable pointing device
– USB port (2.0)
– Acrobat Reader 8 (or above)
– Administrator rights
– Previous version of the Bosch EXACT Configurator pro-
gram is uninstalled
Other hardware required:
– USB 2.0 type A/Micro-USB 2.0 type B, double-shielded,
max. length 1 m
Installing Software
Note: In order to install software on your PC, you must have
administrator rights.
The Bosch EXACT Configurator program can be obtained
from your Bosch industrial tool partner.
– Save the installation files (*.exe and *.msi) on your PC.
– Run the setup.exe file.
Note: Before you can install a newer version of Bosch EX-
ACT Configurator, you must first delete the older version.
Once the old version has been deleted, run the setup.exe
file again.
– Click on Next.
