Configuration Process

Starting the Program

– Double-click the program icon on the desktop.
or
– Open Bosch EXACT Configurator via the start menu.
Changing the language of the user interface
– From the Options | Change Language menu, select the
command for the new language (German/English/Span-
ish/French).
– Go to the File menu and select End.
– Restart the program.
The user interface is then displayed in the new selec-
ted language.
Connecting with a Screwdriver
Connecting once the program is launched
– Connect the screwdriver to the PC (see "Connecting the
Screwdriver with the PC", page 18).
The parameter set of the selected screwdriver is read
and displayed.
If a parameter set has already been loaded before the con-
nection is established, this is overwritten by the new para-
meter set.
Connection information and the process status are both dis-
played in the log window.
Connecting the Screwdriver Manually
If a screwdriver is already connected to the PC before the
program is launched, the connection must be established
manually.
– Open the Device menu and select Connect or click on the
button.
The Select Device dialogue box is displayed.
– Select the required screwdriver and click on OK.

Opening Saved Parameter Set
In addition to the option of loading a parameter set from a
connected screwdriver, a parameter set can also be loaded
from a saved file.
– Open the File menu, select Open or click on the
ton.
The Windows-standard Open dialogue box is dis-
played.
– Select the required parameter set and click Open.
Existing connection with a screwdriver:
The parameter set displayed is overwritten in the user in-
terface by the new parameter set. The new parameter set
Bosch Power Tools
can then be edited or applied to the screwdriver.
No connection with a screwdriver:
The new parameter set is displayed, but cannot be ap-
plied to a screwdriver. The operating controls required to
create a parameter set are deactivated. The new para-
meter set can, however, be edited and then saved again.
Note: In the case of parameters that the user cannot change
within a screwdriver, it is also not possible to edit these
parameters in a file opened from the hard drive.
Saving a Parameter Set to the Hard Drive
The displayed parameter set can be saved as an *.xml file.
– In the File menu, select Save or click on the

– Enter a file name for the parameter set you want to save
and click on Save.
Reading a Parameter Set from a Screwdriver
The parameter set for a connected screwdriver can be
viewed.
– Open the Device menu and select Load Parameters or

interface by the parameter set of the connected screw-
driver.
Information on the process status is displayed in the log
window. Once the final parameter has been read, all non-
readable parameters are displayed both in the log win-
dow and in a dialogue box.
If another read or write function is launched during the read-
ing process, that function will not be completed. An error
message will be displayed in the log window accordingly.
If the program receives an invalid parameter value, a corres-
ponding error message will be shown in the log window and
the default value for that parameter will be entered.
Saving a Parameter Set in the Screwdriver Memory
The parameter set on display can be saved to the memory of
the connected screwdriver.
– Open the Device menu and select Save Parameters or

Information on the process status is displayed in the log
