Example:MAX operation output of 600 kW.
Ignition output must be equal to or lower than:
–
300 kW with ts = 2 s
–
200 kW with ts = 3 s
In order to measure the ignition output:
disconnect the plug-socket 23) (Fig. 5 on page 11) on the
ionisation probe cable (the burner will fire and then go into
lockout after the safety time has elapsed);
Perform 10 ignitions with consecutive lockouts.
Read the quantity of gas burned on the meter.
This quantity must be equal to or less than the quantity given
by the formula, for ts = 3s
Vg =
Qa (max. burner delivery) x n x ts
Example for G 20 gas (9.45 kWh/Sm3):
Ignition output 400 kW
corresponding to 47.6 Nm3/h.
After 10 ignitions with lockouts, the delivery read on the meter
must be equal to or lower than:
Vg =
47.6 x 10 x 3 = 0.397 Sm
6.6.2
Ignition output (minimum)
The MIN output must be set within the firing rate indicated on
Fig. 2 on page 9.
Press button 2)(Fig. 26 on page 23) "output reduction", (
keep it pressed until the servomotor has closed the air damper and
the gas butterfly valve at 20° (adjustment made in the factory).
Gas adjustment
Measure the gas delivery on the gas meter.
If it is necessary to reduce it, reduce slightly the angle of
cam III (Fig. 25 on page 23) with small, regular movements,
i.e. bring it from an angle of 20° to 18° - 16°....
If it is necessary to increase it, press slightly button 2)(Fig.
26 on page 23) "output increase" (
gas butterfly valve), increase the cam angle III (Fig. 25 on
page 23) with small, regular movements, i.e. bring it from an
angle of 20° to 22° - 24°....
Then press the "output reduction" button (
tor is in the position of minimum opening, and measure the gas
output.
NOTE:
The servomotor follows the adjustment of cam III only when the
angle of the cam is reduced.
If it is necessary to increase the angle of the cam, you must first
increase the angle of the servomotor by means of the "output in-
crease" button (
+), then increase the angle of cam III, and fi-
nally bring the servomotor to the position of MIN output, with the
"output reduction" button (
If it is necessary to adjust cam III, remove the cover 1) (inserted
with a trigger catch, as indicated in Fig. 27), extract the special
key 2) from inside, and insert it in the notch of cam III.
Air adjustment
Progressively adjust the starting profile of cam 4)(Fig. 28) by turn-
ing the cam screws visible through the access opening 6). It is
preferable not to turn the first screw since this is used to set the
air damper to its fully closed position.

MAX output
The MAX output must be set within the firing rate in Fig. 2 on
page 9.
In the description above, the burner was left switched on, working
at MIN output. Now press the button 2) (Fig. 26 on page 23) "out-
put increase" (
+) and keep it pressed until the servomotor has
opened the air damper and the gas butterfly valve at 90°.
Gas adjustment
Measure the gas delivery on the gas meter.
A rough indication can be obtained from Tab. H on page 19; just
read the gas pressure on the pressure gauge of Fig. 25 on
page 23 and follow the instructions at page 19.
If delivery needs to be reduced, diminish outlet gas pressure; if it
is already very low, slightly close the VR adjustment valve.
If delivery needs to be increased, increase the adjuster outlet gas
pressure.
Air adjustment
Progressively adjust the end profile of cam 4)(Fig. 28) by turning
the cam screws visible through the access opening 6).
Turn the screws clockwise to increase air delivery.
Turn the screws anticlockwise to reduce air delivery.
