TIG µP 203H-353H AC/DC
DESCRIPTION
The ON PULSE led (ref.17A page 9) will start to blink. The right-hand display A
(ref.20 page 9) will start to blink, indicating the value that can be selected with the
encoder (ref.5 page 9); the pulse frequency can be regulated from 0.4Hz to
300Hz .
A second immediate press on the F button will make the left-hand display V (ref.21
page 9) blink, indicating the duty–cycle pulse value, which can be regulated
with the encoder (ref.5 page 9), from 30% to 60%.
In this mode the basic pulse current can be regulated. Pressing the FC button
(ref.14 page 9), the left-hand display V (ref.21 page 9) will start to blink, indicating
the value that can be selected with the encoder (ref.5 page 9) from 10% to 90% of
the final welding current A.
To view the set value at any time, briefly press the F button
To turn off DC pulse, hold down the F button for more than 2 seconds
7) Activating and regulating AC mode – A first brief press of the AC MODE
button (ref.19 page 9) selects AC mode.
The ON AC led (ref.19A page 9) will start to blink. The displays will start to blink.
7a) Regulating the AC conversion Frequency – Turning the regulating encoder F
(ref.18 page 9) varies the AC frequency value from 20Hz to 200Hz; the right-hand
display A (Fac) (ref.20 page 9) indicates the value selected.
7b) Regulating the AC conversion Balance – Turning the regulating encoder B
(ref.16 page 9) varies the balance value from 10% to 90% with reference to the
negative polarity; the left-hand display V (Bac) (ref.21 page 9) indicates the value
selected.
To view the set parameters at any time, briefly press the AC MODE button (ref.19
page 9) or slightly shift one of the encoders F or B
Notes: when AC mode is turned on, the DC pulse regulation (see point 6) is
limited from 0.4Hz to 2Hz.
To turn off AC mode, hold down the AC MODE button (ref.19 page 9) for more
than 2 seconds.
For further information on the characteristics of welding in AC mode, read
paragraph 6.3 page 32 EXPLANATORY NOTES ON WELDING IN AC
8) If you want to work with a remote control (CAD), refer to the chapter on
PREPARING THE REMOTE/PEDAL CONTROL on page 20.
Procedure for TIG 2 TIME welding with HF start
Starting welding:
1) Press the HF ON button (ref.7 page 9) ; the HF ON led lights up (ref.7A page
9) .
2) Bring the tip of the electrode (tungsten) close to the piece to be welded.
3) Press the torch button: after 0.5 seconds of PRE-GAS, the arc is lit by the HF
generator and the welding process starts .
End of welding:
1) Release the torch button: the current gradually falls with the time set by means
