TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CREAM'S VESSEL (MOD. VCR)

4.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF VESSEL

The supplied equipment is designed to creams fabrication, according to the norms
ASME BPE Standards (2012) and GMP Guide (2002), and it's equipped with a anchor
mixer and an homogenizer which allows to perform the following operations:
- Product homogenization
- Work as recirculation pump during manufacturing process
- Work as cleaning pump during CIP
The vessel consists of a vertical cylindrical body, with welded conical bottom head
and torispherical upper head and with a dimple jacket for product cooling and
heating in temperature control process.
For protection and safety of people, the equipment has a triple jacket of rock wool
and external stainless steel sheet, polished and welded to the vessel's body.
The equipment is suitable to work under vacuum conditions (-1 Kg./cm
kg/cm 2 inside the vessel and jacket (has U certification according to ASME-BPVC).
In the upper head, there are the following nozzles and accessories:
 Manhole with sight glass and light
 Nozzles for spray balls of CIP/SIP system (3)
 Nozzles for products inlet (purified water, additives)
 Nozzle for rupture disc
 Nozzle for vacuum
Nozzle for pressure gauge

Nozzle for venting filter with diaphragm valve

Nozzle for upper recirculation inlet

Spare nozzles (3)

In the vessel's body, there are the following connections:
Double jacket Inlet connection

Nozzle for lower recirculation inlet

Nozzle for double jacket accessories (pressure gauge and safety valve)

In the bottom head, there are the following nozzles and accessories:

 Homogenizer connection
 PT-100 Temperature probe
