9.3 PRELIMINARY SETTINGS
9.3.1
Setting the drain times
Before starting-up the equipment, you should set up the drain times to ensure the
perfect emptying of the dimple jacket before inserting steam in the heating phase.
Whenever the status of the vessel changes from cooling to stop or heating, the
valves involved in drainage opens during the time configured in the submenu
'SETTINGS'.
To configure drain times, proceed as follows:
1. Set up drainage duration to 0 seconds.
2. Ensure the vessel is empty, verifying that the weight indicator shows 0.
3. Start the cooling process for few minutes.
4. Stop the cooling process.
5. Manually empty the dimple jacket using the button Empty in Overview screen
(Temperature Ctrl), counting the time until the weight indicator remains stable to
0.
6. The counted time will be the value which has to be set up in drain times,
addend some security seconds.
9.3.2
Spill setting
In order for the product to be properly dosed, first you must set the spill parameter
at the SERVICE SETTINGS screen under the SERVICE tab.
The spill (in kg) is the amount of product which will remain in the dosing tube or
hose once the dosing valve is closed and which will therefore also go into the
reactor.
