Operating principle (L 845 SC and GL 85 SC 600/900)
– The sensor-switched lights (SC) feature an active
motion detector.
– The intelligent high-frequency sensor (iHF) emits
high-frequency electromagnetic waves (5.8 GHz) and
receives their echo. Any movement by persons in the
sensor switched light's detection zone is noticed by the
sensor as a change in echo. A microprocessor then
issues the switch command "switch light ON".
– The most reliable way of detecting motion is to install
the unit with the sensor aimed across the direction in
which a person would walk.
– Motion detection reach is restricted when the unit is
approached head on.
– Detection is possible through doors, panes of glass or
thin walls.
– Analysing the signal, the sensor distinguishes between
moving persons and moving objects, such as bushes or
small animals. This rules out any inadvertent triggering
by small animals as well as interference from extreme
temperatures.
Operating principle (L 845 C und GL 85 C 600/900)
The C versions can be interconnected with other sensors
via Bluetooth to extend the detection zone. They pass on
the detected signals (presence and light level) via Blue-
tooth. This is controlled in the sensor interconnected with
other interface.
