11 Disposal
Dispose of the AS3-SV safety valve in accordance with the currently applicable
u
regulations in your country.
12 Troubleshooting
Danger of injury by dismantling the valve!
Compressed and loaded springs may suddenly be released when dismantling
the valve.
1. Never dismantle the valve.
2. Do not attempt to perform any unauthorized repairs.
Check the connections, operating voltage, and working pressure of the rele-
u
vant system part if malfunctions occur.
Additional help for malfunctions can be found in the following table:
Malfunction
Possible cause
Pressure/flow level is not
Operating pressure is too low Increase the operating pres-
reached or drops off slowly
Leak on tubing
No output pressure on output
Incorrect control

the normal display (see be-
low)
RUN LED is off
Device is not supplied with a
voltage
LED IN 1, IN 2 off
The corresponding safety in-
put does not have a signal
The IN 1, IN 2 LEDs flash
Control of signals IN 1 and
quickly
IN 2 outside of the synchro-
nization time
OUT LED flashes slowly
No start signal on X2
ERR LED flashes

If you are unable to troubleshoot the AS3-SV safety valve malfunction yourself:
Disassemble the AS3-SV safety valve as described in chapter "Disassembly
u
and exchange" and send it to AVENTICS GmbH. You can find the address on
the back of the operating instructions.
