WATER
SOFTENER SYSTEM
1. GREETING AND INTRODUCTION
Welcome. Thank you for trusting in our product.
Follow all the steps carefully before installing and
using the system.
First, check the contents of the box and make sure
that the valve has not been damaged during
transport.
Any claims for damage caused during transport
must be presented with the name of the transporter,
and must be communicated to us within a maximum
of 24 hours after receiving the merchandise.
Effective filtration requires periodic
maintenance.
The filtration system works at pressures of
between 2 Bar and 6 Bar. For higher pressures,
you must install a pressure reducing valve
where the water enters the filter.
Do not use the filter in environments with temperatu-
res above 40˚c or connected to hot water systems.
The appliance must be installed in a place that is
protected from rain and humidity.
PLEASE RETAIN THIS MANUAL.
What is a water softener for?
A water softener is a piece of equipment that
removes limescale from water. Unlike reverse
osmosis equipment, it does not eliminate salts,
bacteria, viruses and other elements that might be
in the water, it only removes limescale.
Below we will explain some of the advantages of
having a water softener installed in your home:
Saves electricity and decreases water
·
consumption.
·
Decreased use of chemicals, cleaning and
hygiene products, etc.
·
Protection for domestic water systems, heating
and domestic hot water generators.
Protection for household electrical appliances
·
(washing machines, dishwashers, etc.).
·
Protection for skin and hair.
Protection for taps and shower enclosures, etc.
·
How does the water softener remove limescale?
Unlike standard water softeners, low-consumption
water softeners are made with different compo-
nents, in such a way that they need less time for
regeneration and, as a result, the consumption of
SALT and WATER used for regeneration of the
monospheric resins is less.
Operating the water softener:
The water softening process consists of two cycles:
service and regeneration.
SERVICE: The water comes from the mains. As it
passes through the resins inside the water softener,
it leaves any calcium and magnesium that it may
contain, among other minerals, attached to the
resins. Now free of those minerals, the water enters
the supply for consumption.
REGENERATION: This cycle occurs when brine or
regenerant is passed through the resin bed, produ-
cing the exchange of Calcium and Magnesium ions
for Sodium ions. This process will be more or less
efficient depending on the selected regeneration.
In the case of our low-consumption equipment, the
regeneration type is "COUNTERCURRENT", this
means the circulation of fluid during the regenera-
tion cycle is produced from the lower part of the
