Always wear proper footwear with non-slip sole that fully
covers the foot while using the tiller. Never work barefoot or
with sandals, for example.
Always wear tight gloves while maintaining and cleaning,
replacing accessories and transporting the machine.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. The clothing worn
while operating the machine must be appropriate and tight,
such as a work coverall. Do not wear scarves, ties, bands,
hanging ropes, or other similar loose clothing.
Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts.
Rotating parts can touch or drag hair and clothing. It can
cause serious injuries.
Do not transport the tiller with the combustion engine
running. Before transportation, turn off the combustion
engine, let the blades stop completely and remove the
spark plug pipe.
Move the machine only when the combustion engine is cold
and without fuel.
The tiller must always be carried by two persons, respecting
the instructions of transportation. Use appropriate loading
devices (loading ramps, lifting devices).
For safety reasons, it is not allowed to exceed a 15 °
inclination angle during transportation and loading,
especially when using loading ramps.
Protect the machine and its parts while loading with
appropriate fastening devices (belts, cables, etc.). Never
transport the machine if it and its parts are not properly
protected.
Transport the machine with a suitable trailer or on an
appropriate loading surface, and not in the passenger's
compartment (or. luggage compartment) of a vehicle.
When transporting the machine, the local legislation in
force, in particular the ones regarding the protection of
loads and the transport of objects on loading surfaces,
must be
respected.
Make sure that the machine is only used by whom is
familiar with the instruction manual.
Before starting the engine, check if the fuel system is
properly sealed, in particular the tank cap and the
hose connections. In case of leakage or damage, do not
start the combustion engine. Ask for technical assistance
to an official dealer.
Before using the tiller, replace all the damaged parts.
Check if all nuts and screws are properly tightened. A
regular inspection is important to ensure safety and a good
machine performance.
Before using the machine, check if the spark plug is
properly connected to the pipe.
Check the soil where you will use the machine and remove
any large stones, sticks, wires, glass, metal, bones and any
other objects that may be projected by the blades.
Objects hidden in the soil (irrigation systems, stakes, water
taps, foundations, electric cables, etc.) must be marked in
a visible way so that they can be contoured during work.
Never run over these objects.
To ensure a safe machine operation, it is necessary to
check
that:
▪ The tiller is properly assembled, and the blades are
correctly and safely tightened;
▪ Safety devices (for example, traction mechanism levers,
fenders, covers, handlebar, protection grille) are in
perfect conditions and functioning correctly. Never
operate the machine if any safety devices are missing,
damaged or worn out;
▪ The fuel tank and its cap and driving components are in
perfect conditions;
▪ The crankcase oil cap is properly tightened.
Perform all the necessary adjustments to the correct
assembly of the machine and if you have any questions or
problems, contact your official dealer.
Before operating, remove all objects on the machine (tools,
accessories, cloths, etc.).
Please check the local regulations about the permitted
hours to use gardening machines with combustion engine.
