Problem - Cause
Causa
The combustion engine doesn't start:
• Throttle lever is on stop position;
• The fuel tank is empty;
• Clogged fuel pipe;
• The fuel tap is closed;
• The fuel in the tank is of poor quality, is dirty or is
already old;
• Pipe off of spark plug;
• The ignition cable isn't properly connected;
The spark plug has soot or is damaged;
Incorrect distance between the electrodes;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The combustion engine is "soaked" due to several
attempts to start it;
• Very low engine oil level;
Difficulties when starting or the engine power drops:
• Water on the fuel tank and on carburetor;
• Carburetor is clogged;
• The fuel tank is dirty;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The spark plug has soot;
The combustion engine works irregularly:
• The air filter is dirty;
The combustion engine heats up:
• The cooling fins are dirty;
• Combustion engine oil level too low;
• The combustion engine has dirt;
Too much smoke:
• Very high oil level;
• The air filter is dirty;
Strong vibrations during operation:
• Engine fixation is loose;
Low power:
• Blades incorrectly assembled;
• Worn blades;
• Depth regulator incorrectly assembled;
No power:
• The blades aren't engaged on the traction shaft;
Solution
• Place the throttle on starting position;
• Add fuel;
• Clean the pipes, release the carburetor purge and open
the fuel tap;
• Open the fuel tap;
• Use new fuel (unleaded fuel), clean the carburetor;
• Place the pipe on the spark plug;
Check the connection between the cable and the plug;
Clean/replace the spark plug;
Adjust the distance between electrodes;
• Clean/replace de air filter;
• Release the spark plug and dry it, push the throttle
lever to "STOP" position and pull the starter grip several
times, with the spark plug released;
• Replace the oil until the proper level;
• Empty the fuel tank;
• Clean the fuel pipes and carburetor;
• Clean the fuel tank;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean the cooling fins;
• Add oil;
• Remove the dirt from the engine;
• Adjust the oil level;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Tighten all the screws;
• Assemble the blades correctly;
• Replace the blades;
• Adjust the depth regulator;
• Check the fixation of the blades on the traction shaft;
