Keep other people away from the danger zone. Never
operate the tiller if animals or people, particularly
children, are nearby. While operating, objects such as dirt
and stones are projected
The tiller can only be used by one person. The user must
remain on the working area every time the engine is on.
While operating, the machine must never be lifted, pushed
or pulled by the carrying handle, the fenders or other parts,
only by the handlebar grips.
The control and safety devices installed on the machine
must not be removed. Never attach the traction mechanism
levers to the handlebar.
Never approach the rotating parts with your hands or
feet. Always be at a safe distance according the
handlebar. The safety distance corresponds to the
handlebar's length when correctly assembled. Do not
change the handlebar and never start the engine with the
handlebar folded.
Never hang any objects in the handlebar (eg. clothing).
Only operate the machine on daylight or with a good
artificial light and never use it under rain, storms and
particularly under thunderstorms.
There is a greater risk of accidents on wet floors. Take
particular care to avoid slipping. If possible, never use the
machine in a wet floor.
Use the machine with special care when working near
hillsides, ditches and wells. Keep yourself in a safe distance
from these dangerous spots.
In case of nausea, headaches, vision problems (eg,
reduced vision), hearing problems, dizziness,
reduced ability to concentrate, stop using the tiller
immediately. These symptoms may be caused by high
exhaust gas concentrations.
The combustion engine produces poisonous gases as soon
as it starts working. These gases contain toxic carbon
monoxide, a colorless, odorless gas, as well as other
harmful substances. The combustion engine may never be
operated in confined or poorly ventilated spaces.
Hold the handlebar firmly, there is a tendency to drop when
the blades start running. Pay particular attention to the
reversing maneuver.
On difficult or stony soil, the user must operate the tiller at
a low speed. Pay particular attention to the control of the
tiller once it may be less stable than on cultivated soil.
Do not use the tiller with the blades assembled on asphalt
or tile floor.
Starting the engine:
Turn the tiller on according to the instructions given.
Following these instructions reduces the risk of injuries.
When the starter grip returns to its original position, the
hand and arm can be moved quickly towards the
combustion engine. This kickback can cause fractures and
bruises.
Make sure your feet are far enough away from the blades.
The machine cannot be leaned when it is switched on and
the traction lever cannot be activated.
Operating on leaned
soils:
Maintain firm steps and always ensure a stable posture
when working on leaned soils. Avoid using the machine on
too steep slopes.
On leaned soils, always work crosswise as you run along the
soil, never longitudinally, up or down directly by the slope.
The user must never be under the machine. If the user loses
control, may get hit by the blades.
The tiller can roll around during works on slopes. For
safety reasons, the tiller cannot be used on hills with
an angle greater than 20 ° (34%). A slope of 20 °
corresponds to a vertical rise of 34 cm in a horizontal length
of 100 cm.
If the machine is used on hills, the instructions given about
the combustion engine must be followed in order to ensure
sufficient lubrication. Reduce the quantity of fuel in the tank
to prevent leakage.
Operating:
Never put your hands or feet over nor beneath the
rotating parts.
For safety reasons, grab the handlebar grips with both
hands while operating. Never operate with only one hand.
Adjust the work depth using the depth regulator.
