3. CONFIGURE AND ACTIVATE THE REMOTE IN 6 EASY STEPS
3.1 (Step 1) Installation check
Make sure the BRIDGE is electrically powered via the connection to the boiler board.
The left LED should blink every 2 seconds. At first activation, it is advisable to power the BRIDGE first and then
the REMOTE, so that the REMOTE starts seeking the BRIDGE when the latter is already operational.
To install the batteries in the REMOTE:
1. Remove the front by prying with a screwdriver at point A, as shown in "fig. 4" on page 71.
2. Insert the two 1.5 V AA LR6 alkaline batteries supplied with the REMOTE, checking their correct posi-
tioning (indicated on the inside of the front).
3. Refit the front of the REMOTE. (Take care to center the front over the back to ensure correct insertion of
the contacts).
4. Wait for synchronization between REMOTE and BRIDGE. The operation ends when the symbol
shown on the display stops blinking.
If not, remove the batteries from the REMOTE and repeat Step 1: if necessary, move the REMOTE closer to the
BRIDGE to allow more reliable RF communication.
3.2 (Step 2) Pairing procedure
Note: Follow the instructions in this section only if the Remote is to be installed for the first time or when the
symbol
does not appear on the display.
From the main screen of the Remote, press the button
If the device has not yet been paired, the display will show "RF - -", otherwise "RF" will appear, followed by a nu-
merical value indicating the quality of the signal relevant to communications between the Remote and the Bridge.
