READ CAREFULLY!
Safe Sleep
• As soon as your baby comes home, she/he will need a safe
place to sleep. Pediatrics recommends that babies sleep in their
parents' room (but not the same bed) for the first six months or,
ideally, for the first year. Having a sturdy, secure crib or bassinet
for baby is essential.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome),
pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their
backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician, a
firm mattress with a tight-fitting sheet will be needed as well.
• Keep soft objects and loose bedding away from the infant's
sleep area to reduce the risk of SIDS, suffocation, entrapment,
and strangulation.
Stokke recommends following The American Academy of Pediatrics
recommandations for safe infant sleeping environments: www.

WARNING!
Stokke® Sleepi™ Mini
• WARNING – Stop using the product (Mini) as soon as
the child can sit or kneel or pull itself up.
• Do not let other children play unsupervised near the Mini.
• Make sure the wheels on the Mini is in locked position
when a child is in it..
Stokke® Sleepi™ Bed
• The mattress base can be adjusted to two different
positions. Ensure the distance from the mattress to the
top of the bed is always at least 30 cm in the highest
position and at least 50 cm in the lowest position. This
level is marked at the cot end ( ). An original mattress
from Stokke ensures a high quality fit.
• The lowest position is the safest and that the base
should always be used in that position as soon as the
baby is old enough to sit up;
• Make sure to keep medication, string, elastic, small
toys or small items such as money out of reach from
any position in the cot.
• To prevent injuries from falls when your child can climb
in and out of the bed by itself, you shall no longer use
the Sleepi™ Bed as a cot. When your child is ready,
you may remove one side of the cot and adjust the
mattress base to the lowest position. Once the cot side
is removed, ensure to also disassemble the wheels.
WARNING!

THE MATTRESS BASE OF
THIS COT SHOULD BE AD-
JUSTED TO THE LOWEST
POSITION BEFORE THE

Recommended mattress size
This product has been manufactured for use with a
mattress which measures 698 mm wide by 1364 mm
long and 84 mm in thickness for Stokke® Sleepi™
Bed and 590 mm wide by 764 mm long and 84 mm
in thickness for Stokke® Sleepi™ Mini, and have the
shape of the Bed/Mini. The width and length is spec-
ified because it is important that the gaps between
the mattress and the sides and ends of the cot will not
exceed 30 mm. This is to minimize the risk of a child
getting entrapped between the side and the mattress.
The thickness of the mattress is specific to ensure that
the depth of the cot is greater than 500 mm with the
mattress base in the lowest position to minimize the
risk of a child climbing or falling out of the product.
