11. To attach the oil filter, turn it clockwise by hand until
the rubber seal is in position, then tighten a half turn
more.
12. Fill with new oil as given in
engine oil level on page 22 .
13. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes.
14. Stop the engine and make sure that the oil filter does
not leak.
15. Fill with oil to compensate for the oil held in the new
oil filter.
Note: For safe disposal of used engine oil, see
on page 27 .
To do a check of the transmission oil
level
Note: Do the transmission oil check when the
transmission is cool.
Note: All models do not have a transmission oil tank.
1. Remove the screws, one on each side, and remove
the transmission cover.
2. Make sure that the oil level in the transmission oil
tank is between the 2 horizontal lines on the tank.

3. Fill with engine oil if the oil level is below the lower
line, but do not fill above the top line. See
data on page 28 for recommended oil.
To lubricate the belt adjuster
The belt adjuster must be lubricated regularly with a
good quality molybdenum disulphide grease.
1. Remove the 2 screws that hold the belt shield and lift
it off.
2. Lubricate with a grease gun through the nipple at the
right side, below the lower belt pulley. Lubricate until
grease is pushed out of the rear side of the nipple.
3. Attach the belt shield and tighten the 2 screws.
