PARTS OF THE TOOL

STARTING UP
WARNING: Voltage and power frequency must match the data displayed on the identification plate (1).
ACCESSORIES ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY
WARNING: Before (dis)assembling the tool assure that the tool is unplugged.
NOTICE: For have the optimal tool performance use only original accessories and consumables.
Backing Pad
- Insert the pad wrench (7) between the backing pad and the anti-spinning sleeve (Fig. 1) to hold the spindle.
- Turn the pad counterclockwise to remove it.
- For disassembly: (Fig. 2, 3) Hold the spindle with the pad wrench (7), than turn the pad clockwise.
NOTICE: Fitting non-original or incorrect sized backing pads may cause excessive vibration of the tool.
Abrasive Paper
- Used abrasive paper can be removed by simply tearing them off;
- Apply the new abrasive paper by pressing the same on the backing pad(5), and making sure that the holes on
the paper coincide with suction holes of the pad.
NOTICE: Only Ø 150mm Velcro abrasive paper discs with dust extraction holes are allowed.
STARTING AND STOPPING
Starting: Press the ON/OFF button (2); the LED will light. Now the tool can be started by pressing the START/
STOP switch lever (3). The rpm can be adjusted by rotating the speed regulator wheel (4).
Stopping: Release the lever for stop the tool; Press the ON/OFF button, the LED and the tool will turned off.
WARNING: If a case of unusual vibration is present after a start of the tool, switch-off the tool immediately
and eliminate the fault.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, turn off the tool by pressing the ON/OFF button (2) after any use.
ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER
Soft start
The soft start is electronically controlled. The soft start can be also controlled by adjusting the position of the
lever. The soft start guarantees the motor protection and reduces the risk of injury for the operator.
Speed control
The speed of the tool can be changed by rotating the speed regulation wheel (4) to the desired setting.
The speed regulation wheel has eleven detents, the speed can be set speed between 4000 (position 1) and
10000 (position 6) RPM.
Tool Protections
The electronic protection protects the tool from different events that can damage the tool and create a risk of
injury for the operator.
• Temperature cut-out: In a case of overheating, the protection limits the tool power consumption and reduce
RPM. If the temperature continues to rise, the electronic protection turns off the tool and the LED starts blinking.
• Overcurrent: In a case of overcurrent caused by repeated starts or excessive overloads, the electronic
protection turns off the tool and the LED starts blinking.
• Blocked rotor: In a case of blocked rotor caused by some physical impediment, the electronic protection turn
off the tool and the LED starts blinking.
• Current spike: In a case of current spike caused by overload or difficult start caused by some impediment, the
electronic protection turn off the tool and the LED starts blinking.
