SETTING UP
Warning! Risk of injury! Before performing any operation unplug the power cord from
the wall socket.
Attaching the handle
The machine may not be operated without a handle (17). Always hold the machine with both hands! The
handle can easily be detached by turning it.
Screw the handle (17) into one of the three corresponding threaded holes (6) left, right or above,
according to how you can hold the machine most comfortably.
Make sure that the handle is completely fastened when working.
Protective guard mounting
When using the machine, the protective guard (10) must the set so that you are protected from flying
splinters or sparks. The protection cover must be turned toward user.
Release the clamping lever (18). Place the protective cover (10) on the neck of the gearbox. You
must insert the guide protrusions into the grooves on the neck of the gearbox.
Set the protective cover (10) in the desired working position and tighten the sleeve tightly with the
clamping lever (18). By tightening the tightening screw, it is possible to set the proper retraction of
the sleeve so that the cover does not rotate freely, but it can be turned by hand after overcoming
the resistance.
Adjust the protection cover by simply turning it powerfully. The protection cover can be turned
about +/- 45°.
Information on the wheels
The machine is designed for using replacement grinding and cutting wheels with 125 mm diameter
suitable for material being worked on. Only use wheels whose allowable perimeter speed is 80 m/s and
higher. Read the perimeter speed on the label of the wheel. Vibrating or unbalanced wheels may not be
used and should be discarded.
Protect the wheels from blows, crushes, as well as oil. Grinding and separating wheels may become
very hot during operation, handle with care when changing. When using diamond wheels, pay attention
to the correct direction of their rotation, the direction of rotation of the wheel (marked by an arrow) must
agree with the direction of rotation of the shaft.
Grinding / cutting wheel mounting
Clean the wheel flange (11), the clamping nut (15), and the metal clamping surface (14) of the
grinding or cutting wheel.
Attach the wheel flange (11) with the longitudinal slot underneath on the spindle (9).
Attach the grinding or cutting wheel. The wheel flange (11) must engage exactly in the hub of the
wheel (14).
Screw on the clamping nut (15) so that when clamping the grinding wheel (13), the clamping nut
shoulder must be faced towards the wheel and when clamping the cutting wheel (12), the clamping
nut shoulder must be faced from the wheel. Do not use adapters or reducers.
Press the spindle locking device (5) and turn the spindle (10) until the spindle locking device locks.
Tighten the clamping nut (15) with the hook wrench (16). Release the spindle lock (5). Use the
shaft lock button only when the shaft is at rest, otherwise the grinder may be damaged.
Test the new separating wheel by running it idle for about one minute.
Warning! Before starting the grinder, verify that the wheel does not rotate freely
between the clamping nut (15) and the wheel flange (11) and does not hit the
protective cover or other parts of the grinder.
