OPERATION
Wear protective gloves.
Wear protective goggles. Flying shavings can cause injury.
Wear hearing protection for protection from continuous noise in the workplace.
Wear dust mask for protection from airborne dust.
Check whether the type of the plug corresponds with the type of the socket.
The data on the nameplate must correspond with the actual power supply voltage.
Warning! Risk of injury! Always work with mounted protective guard!
Switching on
Push the safety lock-out button (4) and keep it pressed.
Press the on-off switch (3) to turn on the grinder. Once the grinder is running you can release the safety
lock-out.
Switching off
Release the on/off switch (3).
Working with the grinder
Wait until the machine reaches its full rotation speed. Then you can place the angle-grinder on the
workpiece and begin working.
Do not attempt to increase the working speed of your angle-grinder by putting more pressure on it.
The grinding and cutting wheels work more efficiently when only light pressure is applied.
If the machine or grinding wheel heats up intensely, allow it to run idle for 3 minutes so that the
motor or wheel can cool down.
Grinding / Roughing
Optimal working angle of the wheel on the workpiece is 15-30°.
Guide the grinding wheel carefully over the workpiece without exerting great pressure, this will
prevent overheating.
Be careful when working on uneven surfaces with the angle-grinder; the machine can be more
difficult to handle in this situation.
Separating
Use a special guiding sledge. (This is not included with the product).
Apply only slight pressure and no side impact on the separating wheels. Pay attention to the
rotation direction of the wheel. Prevent any movement of the workpiece.
Tips for different materials:
Metal: Beware of flying sparks.
Soft metals: Wheels can easily foul when working with i.e. aluminium. In this case, replace the
wheel.
Stone, tiles, roof tiles: Use diamond cutting discs for dry cutting. Beware of dust, use a dust
mask.
CARE, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Warning! Risk of injury! Before performing any operation unplug the power cord from
the wall socket.
Wear personal protective equipment
