Safety
► Before working on the PTO drive shaft, switch off the drive unit and secure it against
switching back on again by removing the key.
► To stay safe when working on the PTO drive shaft, wear tight clothing and tie-up long
hair.
Risk of burning on housing parts as a result of the operation of a
PTO drive shaft with a clutch!
► Do not touch the PTO drive shaft components immediatly after operation.
► Before working on the PTO drive shaft, allow the PTO drive shaft components to cool
down.
► When installing the PTO drive shaft, make sure that the direction of rotation
corresponds with the machine specifications.
► Comply with the maintenance intervals outlined in the maintenance schedule.
► When carrying out the maintenance, also observe the notes in these instructions (see
Chapter 4.3 and 4.4).
Risk of injury and material damage as a result of improper
transport of the PTO drive shaft!
► Only transport the PTO drive shaft horizontally.
Risk of injury and material damage as a result of standing on the
PTO drive shaft!
► Do not stand on the PTO drive shaft.
Risk of injury and material damage as a result of damage to the
PTO drive shaft guard!
► Position and secure the machine components of attached and semi-mounted
implements (tractor coupling devices, lower links, supports, etc.) in a suitable
position.
► Replace any damaged components on the PTO drive shaft guard.
Danger to life and material damage as a result of an impermissible
increase of torque!
► Comply with the power output limits for the PTO drive shaft specified in the power
output data (see Chapter 2.3 on page 31).
Danger to life as a result of impermissible shortening!
► Only have the PTO drive shaft shortened by skilled persons.
Danger to life and material damage as a result of structural
changes to the PTO drive shaft!
► Do not perform any improper structural changes to the PTO drive shaft.
