Fill deep-frying oil/fat, switching on appliance
Filling deep-frying oil/fat
. Close drain tap.
. Place insertable sieve on the heating element.
. Fill the tub with fresh, pure vegetable frying oil or semi-liquid frying fat.
● Do not use solid fat (fat block) to fill the tub! This deep-frying fat solidifies after cooling and would
block the drain.
Switching on the appliance
● In order to prevent high temperature loading of the deep-frying oil/fat whilst heating up or melting
of the deep-frying fat, set a lower temperature (approx. 120°C)
. Switch on the appliance using the rotary switch and set the required temperature.
● The indicator lights light up.
● The yellow indicator light goes off when the temperature set is attained.
. Cover the deep fat fryer with its lid during the heating-up process.
. Once the yellow indicator light has gone out, fill the fry basket with the food to be cooked.

Deep-frying
. Fill the deep-frying basket with food to be fried to approx. one third, maximum half full.
● Do not fill more than 0.8 kg per deep-frying process.
. Remove ice crystals in the frozen food to be cooked by shaking from the basket.
. Briefly immerse the deep-frying basket plus contents into the hot deep-frying oil/fat and then re
move it, in order to prevent the deep-frying oil/fat from frothing over. Repeat this process until the
deep-frying oil/fat stops foaming.
. For short breaks in operation, use the rotary switch and set the temperature to approx. 100-120°
C and cover the deep-fat fryer tub with the cover.
