General safety instructions
H Installation, commissioning, maintenance
Installation, commissioning and maintenance may be
performed only by an approved contractor.
▶ Install and commission cylinders and their
accessories according to the relevant installation
instructions.
▶ To reduce oxygen permeation and therefore
corrosion to a minimum, do not use vapour-
permeable components! Never use open, vented
expansion vessels.
▶ Never close the pressure relief valve.
▶ Use only original spare parts.
H Notices for the target group
These installation instructions are intended for
experts in gas and water installations, heating and
electrical systems. All instructions must be observed.
Failure to comply with instructions may result in
material damage and personal injury, including danger
to life.
▶ Read the installation instructions (heat source,
heating controller, etc.) before installation.
▶ Observe the safety instructions and warnings.
▶ Follow national and regional regulations, technical
regulations and guidelines.
▶ Record all work carried out.
H Handover to the user
When handing over, instruct the user how to operate
the heating system and inform the user about its
operating conditions.
▶ Explain how to operate the heating system and draw
the user's attention to any safety relevant action.
▶ In particular, point out the following:
– Alterations and repairs must only be carried out
by an approved contractor.
– Safe and environmentally compatible operation
requires inspection at least once a year and
responsive cleaning and maintenance.
▶ Point out the possible consequences (personal
injury, including danger to life or material damage)
of non-existent or improper inspection, cleaning
and maintenance.
▶ Point out the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) and
recommend the use of CO detectors.
▶ Leave the installation instructions and the
operating instructions with the user for
safekeeping.

Intended use
Enamelled DHW cylinders (cylinders) are designed for heating and
storing potable water. Please observe the applicable country-specific
regulations, guidelines and standards for potable water.
Only install the enamelled DHW cylinder (cylinder) in sealed unvented
DHW heating systems.
All other use is considered unsuitable. Any damage that results from
such use is excluded from liability.

Cylinder heat input
The cylinders are intended for connection to a wall mounted boiler to
which a cylinder temperature sensor can be connected as an option. The
maximum heat input to these cylinders by the wall mounted boiler must
not exceed the following values:
Memory
WP 400 PK
WP 500 P
WP 700 P
Table 13 Cylinder heat input
For wall mounted boilers with higher cylinder heat input:
▶ Limit the cylinder heat input to the above value (see installation
instructions for the wall mounted boiler).
This reduces the cycling frequency of the wall mounted boiler.
2.3
Function definition
• When hot water is being drawn off, the cylinder temperature in the
upper section drops by approx. 8 °C to 10 °C before the wall mounted
boiler reheats the cylinder.
• If brief draw-off events occur frequently one after the other, this can
lead to overshooting of the set cylinder temperature in the upper part
of the cylinder. This characteristic is due to the system design and
cannot be prevented.
• The integral thermometer displays the prevailing temperature in the
upper part of the container. Due to the natural thermal stratification
inside the container, the set cylinder temperature should merely be
interpreted as an average value. The temperature indicator and the
switching point of the cylinder temperature controller are therefore
not identical.
