Authentication via RFID card
RFID authentication (e.g. the supplied RFID cards) can
protect the charging system against unautorised use.
You can enable RFID authentication via the app or the
Web interface:
1. Launch the teach-in mode via the app or the Web
interface (Status LED on the charging system lights
up purple).
2. Hold the RFID card in front of the RFID symbol on
the charging system within 60 seconds.
3. The card has been accepted as soon as the Status
LED lights up green and a single signal tone sounds.
Hold the RFID card in front of the charging sys-
tem's sensor field to enable the charging process
(Fig. 11 - no. 3).
External blocking device
An external blocking device (e.g. key-operated switch)
can protect the charging system against unauthorised
use. When the charging process is requested, the system
checks whether an external block is active. Use the data
interface EN as shown in Fig. 6 - no. 2.
Charging a vehicle (Fig. 12)
1. Pull the charging coupler out of the coupler holder.
2. Fully unwind the charging cable from the charging
system.
3. Optional: Enable the charging system using your
RFID card or via the external blocking device.
4. Plug the charging coupler into your

End of charging
Unplug the charging cable from the vehicle when the
charging process is complete. Wind the charging cable
onto the charging system and insert the charging
coupler into the coupler holder.
Tripping hazard from unwound charging
cable. Risk of cable breakage! Do not wind
the cable too tightly.
Interrupting charging
There are three options for stopping the charging
process:
End the charging process using the vehicle's control
elements. Refer to the vehicle's driver's manual for
this purpose.
Disconnect the charging system from the power
supply by switching off the building's circuit breakers.
If the charging system is fitted with an external
blocking device, you can use it to stop the charging
process.
Cleaning the charging system
Never use aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. petroleum
ether, acetone, ethanol or methylated spirit-based glass
cleaner) when cleaning the charging system and par-
ticularly the plastic window. These agents could attack
or damage the surface. Use mild detergent solutions
(washing-up liquid, neutral cleaner) and a soft, damp-
ened cloth for cleaning.
