SECTION 7: OPERATION
Initial Start-Up
1. Verify the white quartz sleeve nuts for the quartz
sleeve modules are secure.
2. Turn on pump.
3. Give time for the vessel to fill with water.
4. Energize UV system ballasts.
a. The ballast will delay the UV Lamp from
illuminating for 25 seconds once flow is
above the "On" trigger point flow rate.
b. The ballast delay can also be activated by a
power cycle of the ballast.
5. Once the UV Lamp is illuminated and there are no
leaks the startup is complete.
6. The flow switch will control the UV lamp during flow
and low flow conditions.

WARNING: If a sleeve nut is removed when there
is dynamic water pressure inside the UV system, the
lamp sleeve will eject from the end plate with enough
force to cause personal injury.
This UV vessel operates under pressure.
With the white quartz sleeve nuts secured properly
and operated without air in the system, this vessel will
operate in a safe manner.

PRESSURIZED CAN CAUSE

LOCK OUT SOURCE AND RELIEVE
PRESSURE BEFORE SERVICING.
