NOTES
This is set according
to the specifications
of the piece, the
type of weld to be
effected, and the
type and diameter of
electrode used.
Duration of gas flow
time that precedes
the striking of the
arc. Creates an inert
atmosphere around
the piece. An increa-
se in the pre-gas
time facilitates the
arc striking.
Duration of gas flow
time after the arc has
been extinguished,
at the end of wel-
ding. Used to pro-
tect the tip of the
electrode and the
last part of the weld
(the hottest part)
from oxidisation.
Intensity of the cur-
rent at the start of
the ascent ramp.
Intensity of the cur-
rent at the end of
the descent ramp.
Duration of the ini-
tial current ramp.
The presence of the
ascent ramp impro-
ves the weld quality,
by enabling you to
control the heating
of the piece.
Duration of the final
current ramp. Allows
you to
control the
cooling of the piece.
Intensity
of
the
maintenance current
of the arc in
the
pulsed operation.
Defines the time for
which the weld pool
is maintained.

Second welding

Defines the time
taken by the weld
pool to penetrate
the base material.

quency of the cur-

Minimum
current
level settable from
pedal control.
Maximum level of
current which can be
set from the pedal
control.
Together
with the previous
parameter,
allows
you to shorten or
lengthen the interval
of current which can
be set from the pedal
control.
This is a second cur-
rent level available
directly to the ope-
rator (by means of
the P .T.) that can be
used
whenever
required.
