e) CAUTION! When defining the operating time and temperature of the unit, the
type of product and the size of food particles to be dried should be taken into
account.
f) The RCDA-400/6.8S and RCDA-500/15S have a chamber backlighting function.
To activate, select the backlight button (11) from the control panel. Selecting
the button again will turn off the chamber illumination.
g) In order to preserve the best properties of the unit, before depositing trays of
food, preheat the chamber of the unit by setting the temperature and leaving
it for about 5-10 minutes.
h) Drain excess water from the food products (dry with a paper towel, etc.) and
separate into equal parts. The recommended thickness of the separated parts
should be no more than 6 mm.
i) Spread the pre-prepared products evenly on the trays of the unit.
CAUTION! With a small amount of products to be processed, embedding the
tray in the center of the unit chamber is recommended. This will directly
accelerate the thermal processing.
j) Open the unit door.
k) Seat the trays with even spacing inside the chamber, so as to maintain proper
circulation of hot air. Make sure that the trays of the unit are always seated in
the rails at the same level.
l) Close the unit door.
m) CAUTION! The RCDA-800/23S model has an additional door lock. To lock, hook
the bolt pin to the door fastener. Press the bolt handle against the unit
housing. The release of the lock is performed in the reverse manner of locking.
n) During the drying process carried out, excess water may accumulate on food
products and the bottom of the unit chamber.
CAUTION! It is necessary to control the food drying process. After 2 hours from
the start of the process, turn the products to the other side so that they do not
stick to the tray.
o) After use, turn off the unit with the power switch.
p) Remove trays with processed food.
CAUTION! The interior of the chamber as well as its components heat up to
high temperatures. Wearing protective gloves when removing trays with food
is recommended!
q) Disconnect the unit plug from the power source, wait until the unit has cooled
down completely.
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a) Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down completely before cleaning,
adjusting or replacing accessories and when the unit is not in use.
