Thermal pressure relief valve
If the engine is running in standby mode
without active spraying, the water in the
high-pressure pump heats up to 60 °C
(140 °F). The thermal pressure relief
valve automatically lets the hot water
escape from the high-pressure pump so
that fresh and cool water can flow into
the system.

Adding Detergent

Use the detergent suction hose to draw
detergent from a separate container.
The detergent is added to the water in
the high-pressure pump:
Add the detergent to a separate
N
container and dilute it with water at
the ratio specified by the detergent
manufacturer
Push the pickup body (1) as far as
N
possible into the container
Connect the black 65° nozzle to the
N
spray lance
Detergent can only be used with the low-
pressure, 65° nozzle (black).
When using the detergent suction
feature, only use 1 high-pressure hose
between the pump and spray gun.
Adding extension hoses may cause
insufficient detergent suction.
When applying detergent, start at
N
the bottom and work upwards
For best results, never allow the
detergent to dry on the surface to be
cleaned. Read and follow the detergent
manufacturer's warnings and
instructions regarding proper use.
Cleaning the pickup body, hose and
injector
Each time after working with a
detergent, run clean water through the
1
pump to clean the hose and other
components of the pressure washer.
Immerse the pickup body in clean,
N
detergent-free water
Actuate the spray gun for
N
approx. 5 seconds to draw clean
water through the hose
