Servicing of Double Insulated Appliances
Your blower is double-insulated to give you
added safety. In a double insulated appliance,
two systems of insulation are provided instead
of grounding. No grounding means is provided
on a double insulated appliance, nor should a
means for grounding be added to the appliance.
Servicing a double insulated appliance requires
extreme care and knowledge of the system
and should be done only by qualifi ed service
personnel. Replacement parts for a double
insulated appliance must be identical to the
parts they replace. A double insulated appliance
is marked with the words double insulated or
"double insulation". The symbol (square within a
square) may also be marked on the appliance.
Additional safety instructions
Before you begin your work, examine the
material you want to cut. Remove any foreign
objects. Continue to watch out for foreign
objects while you are working. If you come
across any foreign objects while cutting, turn
off the machine and remove the items in
question.
Work only when visibility is adequate.
Make sure you stand squarely at all times
while working. Be careful when walking
backwards. Tripping hazard!
Never leave the equipment unsupervised in
the work area. If you stop work for a while,
leave the equipment in a safe place.
If you stop your work in order to go to another
area to work, you must make sure that the
equipment is switched off while you are going
there.
