5.4 References

5.4.1 Changing of references
The use of reference points enables taking parallel measurements in
relation to various starting points (=references).
The current reference point is indicated at the top left corner of the
display. Press the reference button and enter the number of the
required reference point to change the current reference point.
Comment:
It is possible to specify the number of the desired reference points (1
to 9) (see Chapter 9).
Should the number of reference points be limited to two, then you
can go from one reference point to the other by pressing the button
(no need to enter the reference no.).
5.4.2 Preset value for a reference point
By pressing the Preset button, the preset value previously assigned
to a reference point will be applied to a vertical measurement, a
centre distance measurement or a minimum/maximum value mea-
surement.
This is done for the current position of the measuring insert when in
direct mode (see Chapter 6.6).
A preset value can be assigned to any reference. Select the desired
reference and press and hold the Preset button for more than 2
seconds. Enter the preset value and press the Enter key.

5.5 Resolution

In order to select the desired representation unit for displaying the
measured value, keep pressing the button until the desired repre-
sentation unit is indicated.

5.6 Saving the probe constant

In order to be able to accept and save the probe constant, press the
button and repeat the same sequence as performed when switching
on the instrument (see Chapter 4.2, points 4 to 8).
Comment:
Press the button once to have the current value indicated. Press the
button again to cancel the acceptance of the probe constant and to
have the display return to normal measurement mode.
The probe constant can also be entered manually
(see Chapter 6.6).
