6.5 Probe holder change function

This function enables you to go from one probe holder to the next
while keeping the same reference point.
In order to activate this function, press and hold the
button shown for 2 seconds.
Procedure:
1. Before removing the measuring insert, probe the surface or a
centre distance to activate the probe holder change function. The
icon for the function is flashing.
2. Fit the measuring insert on the other probe holder or flip it up.
3. Probe the previously measured surface again or have the centre
distance determined.
4. Press the Preset button (display adopts the last measured value
again).
This procedure can be cancelled at any time by pressing the Enter key.

6.6 Manual input of measuring insert constant

The measuring insert constant can be input manually. To this end, press
the function key shown for 2 seconds and enter the desired value with
the aid of the keypad. Press the Enter key to confirm. The saved value
will be taken into account for the measurements. The new value will
replace the old value every time a new constant is adopted.
Constants are essential components of bidirectional measure-
ments. Great care must be exercised for the interpretation of
measurement results after the value has been entered manually.
