6.3 Distance and centre line measurements for
surface measurements
D1 = Inner distance
C1 = Centre line to D1
D2 = Distance between 2 surfaces at the same probe
contact direction
C2 = Centre line to D2
D3 = Outer distance
C3 = Centre line to D3
D13 = Distance between 2 centre lines
C13 = Midpoint between 2 centre lines
This function enables you to take a centre line and a distance
measurement based on 2 surfaces without having to change to
'diameter'. In order to activate this function, press and hold the
Mean value button for 2 seconds. The "Vertical" and "Centre line"
mode indicators are flashing.
Probe the first surface and then the second surface. After the probe
has been raised, the distance and the centre line values are frozen
on the display.
Zero-setting or presetting on centre line
It is possible to set the centre line to zero or set a preset value.
Distance between 2 centre lines
By pressing the (left) Delta button, the distance between the previ-
ous two centre line values is determined and shown in the second
row on the display.
Midpoint of 2 centre lines
Press this Mean value button to obtain the midpoint based on 2
centre lines.
