Maintenance and Troubleshooting
NOTE!
In case of maintenance of the machine or system, the overall safety must
be rechecked in order to verify the safety integrity of the machine or system.
Additionally, in case of any modification, the validation of the safety function
must be repeated and documented.
ATTENTION!
If a simultaneous fault occurs on two or more IGBTs of the frequency inverter
during the activation of the safety function, it is possible that the frequency
inverter delivers sufficient energy to cause a magnetic alignment between the
rotor and the internal magnetic poles of the motor. This movement depends on
the number of poles of the motor and is limited to a maximum of 180°. Although
this event is unlikely, be sure that this possibility cannot cause harm to people
or damages to machinery.
4.2 ALARMS AND FAULTS RELATED TO THE SAFETY FUNCTIONS MODULE
A0160 - Safe State Active
Description:
It indicates to the user that the safe state is active.
Possible Causes/Correction:
Actuation of the safety inputs (STO1 and STO2).
Safety input circuit not installed.
Safety input circuit de-energized.
A0161 - SS1-t Timing Active
Description:
It indicates to the user that the safety functions module is executing the timing of the SS1-t
safety function, while the frequency inverter decelerates the motor.
Possible Causes/Correction:
Actuation of the safety inputs (STO1 and STO2) with the SS1-t safety function configured.
Fault detected with the SS1-t safety function configured.
A0162 - Safety Functions Module in Programming Mode
Description:
It indicates to the user that the safety functions module is in the programming mode of the
safety functions.
Possible Causes/Correction:
Activation of the programming DIP switches (S2) of the safety functions module during the
safe state.
