5 DECOMMISSIONING
For decommissioning, the machine or system shall preferably be switched off from any type of
energy supply. If this is not possible, all electrical connections, i.e, power connections and the
control connections of the frequency inverter, must be switched off before any decommissioning
activities on the frequency inverter.
DANGER!
Before decommissioning, it is necessary to make an analysis of the safety of
the machine or system. Hanging loads, brakes or rotating parts may require
energy to stay in a safe state and the power removal can lead to unsafe
conditions. Be sure that power removal can be realized in a safe way.
DANGER!
Even after switching off or disconnecting the power supply, the frequency
inverter may remain charged with high voltages and/or have moving parts
(fans). Wait for at least 10 minutes in order to guarantee the full discharge of
internal components.
