• Set the rocker adjustment switch (5) to position "III" and raise the cover
(10).
• Insert the doctor blade as far as it will go into the blade holder (6)
(the teeth of the blade should point forward) (fig E).
Important! Ensure that the saw blade is properly seated in the
guide roller (7).
Blade removal
• Set the rocker adjustment switch (5) to position "III" and raise the cover
(10).
• Pull the blade holder lever (6) upwards and eject the blade (fig E).
• Release the blade holder lever (7)
Use blades with the T clamping system as shown in Figure F.
DUST EXTRACTION
To improve dust removal from the workpiece surface, the jigsaw is
equipped with its own dust blow-off and extraction system to clean
the cutting surface. The dust blow-off and extraction system works
more effectively when the hood is lowered.
• Insert the adapter (3) into the foot (4) as far as it will go (fig. G).
• Connect the suction hose of the dust extraction system to the
adapter (3).
• Removal of the adapter is in the reverse order of its installation.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
ON / OFF
The appliance is equipped with a switch lock button (1) to prevent
accidental operation. The safety button is located on both sides of
the device housing.
Switching on
• Press one end of the switch locking button (1) and hold it in this
position (fig H)
• Press the switch (2) (Fig. I).
• After the appliance has been started up, the switch locking button (1)
can be released.
Switching off
• Releasing pressure on the switch button (2) stops the unit.
The speed range of the device is regulated by the degree of pressure
exerted on the switch button.
Each time the on/off button (2) is pressed, the LED (11) illuminates
the work area.
SAW BLADE SWING ADJUSTMENT
The available possibility to adjust the oscillating movement of the
blade in addition to the possibility to adjust its reciprocating
movement enables better adjustment of the jigsaw parameters to
the requirements of the workpiece. The pendulum movement is
adjusted in steps with the pendulum movement adjustment switch (5)
in the range from 0 to 3 (fig. K). The most favourable selection of the
stroke of the pendulum movement for particular materials is provided
by the table below.
Sheet metal in general: 0
Aluminium sheet: 1- 2
Wooden plywood: 0 - 1
When using a knife-type blade, set the rocker adjustment
switch to 0. When cutting metal, it is recommended to use
lubrication.
FOOT ADJUSTMENT FOR ANGLED CUTS
The adjustable jigsaw foot makes it possible to make angled cuts
from 0° to 45° (in both directions).
• Remove the adapter (3) from the footplate (4) (fig. G).
• Loosen the foot fixing screw (4) using a hexagonal spanner.
• Move the foot (4) forward and tilt to the left or right (up to 45°).
• Adjust the foot (4) to the desired angle, slide back and secure by
tightening the fixing screw (fig. L).
The angle graduation on the foot allows the foot to be inclined at angles of
0°, 15°, 30° or 45° (right or left). Always place the hex key in its
storage location after adjustment.
CUTTING
• Place the front part of the foot (4) flat on the material to be cut so that
the blade does not touch the material.
Sheet steel: 0 - 1
Plastic: 1 - 2
Wood: 1 - 3
• Start the jigsaw and wait until it reaches the correct speed.
• Move the jigsaw slowly guiding the blade along the predetermined
cutting line.
• When cutting a curved line, guide the jigsaw very gently.
Make the cut evenly, taking care not to overload the jigsaw.
Excessive pressure on the blade will inhibit the oscillating motion,
which will have a negative effect on cutting performance. If it is
necessary to make cuts in a gentle curve, the pendulum motion
should be reduced or completely switched off.
If the whole surface of the foot of the jigsaw does not touch
the surface of the workpiece during operation but is raised
above it, there is a danger of the blade kicking back or
breaking.
CUTTING A HOLE IN THE MATERIAL
• Drill a 10 mm diameter hole in the material.
• Insert the saw blade into the hole and start cutting from the hole
you have made.
METAL CUTTING / TYPES OF SAW BLADES
For cutting through metal, suitable blades with a higher number of
teeth should be used.
When cutting metal it is necessary to use a suitable lubricant
(cutting oil). Cutting metal without lubrication leads to accelerated
blade wear. The table below provides the most favourable selection of
saw blades:

• Use only appropriate and sharp saw blades.
• Do not use a saw blade with a damaged shank.
• Use the correct type of saw blades.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the battery from the unit before p e r f o r m i n g
installation, adjustment, repair or service.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• It is recommended to clean the device immediately after each use.
• Do not use water or other liquids for cleaning.
• The unit should be cleaned with a dry piece of cloth or blown with
low pressure compressed air.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents as these may damage
the plastic parts.
• The ventilation slots in the motor housing must be cleaned
regularly to prevent the unit from overheating. Do not clean the
ventilation slots by inserting sharp objects such as screwdrivers or
similar.
• It is recommended that the guide roller be periodically lubricated. A
drop of oil applied to this area will prolong its life.
• If excessive sparking occurs on the commutator, have the condition
of the motor carbon brushes checked by a qualified person.
• Always store the device in a dry place, out of the reach of
children.
• Store the device with the battery removed.
Any defects should be rectified by the manufacturer's authorised
service department.
