Problem
Tool does not start.
Cable kinking or
breaking

Cause
1. Battery pack charge is depleted. 1. Charge the battery pack.
2. Battery pack is not installed
properly.
1. Cable is being forced.
2. Cable used in incorrect pipe
diameter.
3. The direction-of-rotation selector
is switched to reverse position.
4. The length of cable exposed is
more than 6" (15 cm).
5. Cable is damaged by exposure
to acid.
6. Cable worn out.
Remedy
2. Confirm that the battery is
locked and secured to the
tool.
1. Do not force the cable.
2. Use recommended cable
size for the pipe you are
trying to clean.
3. Use reverse position only if
cable gets caught in pipe.
4. Make sure the length of the
exposed cable is no more
than 6" (15 cm).
5. Clean cable routinely.
6. If cable is worn, have it
replaced by an Authorized
SKIL Service Center or
Service Station.
