Wait for the machine to stop. Unless the machine is equipped with a safety brake, some parts
may continue to move due to the momentum. Wait for all parts to stop, then unplug them from
the power source before making any adjustments, performing maintenance, or simply nished
using the tool.
2.2 HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Remove and check the con guration tools. Some machines require the use of additional tools
or accessories to con gure, charge, or adjust the power tool. Before starting the power tool,
always check that they have been removed and away from the machine.
Avoid unintentional starting. Before plugging any machine into the power source, make sure
the switch is in the OFF position. If the machine is portable, do not place it near the switch and
be careful when lowering it, as it may accidentally operate the switch.
Carefully select an extension cord. Some machines are not suitable for use with extension cords.
If the tool is designed for outdoor use, use an extension cord that is also suitable for that envi-
ronment. When using an extension cord, select one that handles the current (amps) drawn by
the machine in use. Fully extend the cable regardless of the distance between the power supply
and the tool. Excess current (amps) and a coiled extension cord will cause the cord to heat up
and may cause a re. Concentrate and stay alert. Distractions can cause an accident. Never ope-
rate a power tool if you are under the in uence of drugs (prescribed or not), including alcohol,
or if you feel tired. Being disoriented will result in an accident.
Have this tool repaired by a quali ed person. This tool is designed to comply with relevant inter-
national and local regulations and as such must be maintained and repaired by a quali ed
person, using only the original parts supplied by the manufacturer. This will ensure that the tool
remains safe to use.
2.3 ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CALADORA
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the
cutting attachment may come in contact with hidden wires or its own wire. A cutting accessory
that comes in contact with a "live" wire can cause the exposed metal parts of the power tool to
be "live" and could cause an electric shock to the operator.
- Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the workpiece on a stable platform.
Holding the workpiece by hand or against your body leaves you unstable and can lead to loss
of control.
