Note: When using longer blades and cutting thicker material, lateral pressure can cause the
blade to bend and begin to bevel the cut edge. Keep the blade straight to ensure a perpendicu-
lar cut.
Caution: Make sure the end of the blade does not touch obstructions under the workpiece, as
this will cause the saw to kick back and possibly break the blade causing injury.
7.6 ANGLE CUTS / BEVELS
To make bevel cuts, this jigsaw uses a lever-operated adjustable base plate mechanism (11). The
motherboard itself (8) has locking grooves, allowing for 0 °, 45 °, and -45 ° position.
- Turn the lever to loosen the adjustable base. The base plate can rotate freely within the
semi-circular adjustment channel.
- Lock the motherboard in one of the slots, as shown above.
In addition, the base plate can also be positioned in Figure 7. for bevel cutting at additional
intermediate angles of 15 °, 30 °, -15 °, and -30 °. An angle measurement scale is engraved on the
base plate as an aid to adjustment.
Note: If you use the jig together with the parallel guide (14), it must be removed to carry out the
previous step.
