Warning!: to reduce the risk of losing control
and damaging (including death) the user or nearby
persons, never use this machine with only one hand.
7.2. STRING HEAD CUTTING
Warning! Wear eye protection at all times. Do not
look directly into the cutting line since the pieces may be
projected while cutting which can cause serious wounds
in the face and the eyes. If the head hits a stone or any
other object, stop the engine and check its status. Do
not use damaged or poorly balanced pieces.
Hold the string trimmer so the head doesn't touch the
ground, at an angle of about 20 ° in the
direction in which it is being cut.
Cut from left to right to avoid the cut grass dropping
in the area you wish to trim. Pay attention in order
to avoid bumping the head against rocks or the soil.
Blows against objects and soil will reduce the quality
of the head, and can create a hazardous environment
for you and the people in the work environment.
Nylon threads are shortened with use; when they are
too short, rev the engine and press the head against
the ground. This will produce a little more thread. If
you pull out too much thread the protector blade can
cut the excess.
Remember that the end of the nylon cord is what cuts.
You will get a better result if you don't apply the whole
head at once in the area being trimmed. Insert head
slowly and let the nylon tips trim the grass at a safe
pace.
WARNING! DANGER: Do not operate the string
trimmer in areas where there are metallic wires.
Always use adequate protective equipment. Do not
use this machine in areas with poor visibility.
