WARNING
• Carry out the preliminary checks recommended by the Manufacturer of the machine with the pump.
• Check all the delivery hoses are closed or are connected to a closed application (such as a closed tap or a
spray gun in the closed position).
• Do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure for the accumulator (when applicable) indicated in the table
below.
• A
SKILLED TECHNICIAN
a) When the pump is at a standstill, check the oil level is not above the notch on the case and is no more
than 2-3 mm below it (see Fig. 4).
Always check the oil when the pump is at a standstill and has cooled down completely.
Refer to the list of lubricants in the section on
oil.
WARNING
• Contact a
SKILLED TECHNICIAN
not have a volumetric compensator.
b) Check the pressure accumulator is inflated correctly using a standard compressed air gun fitted with a
pressure gauge, such as those used to check tyre pressure (20/20 and 25 only).
The inflation depends on the pump's operating pressure range, as shown the table below:
PUMP OPERATING PRESSURE
bar
2 - 5
5 - 10
10 - 25
CAUTION
• In applications where the pump is driven by a cardan shaft, avoid thrust against the pump shaft caused
by incorrect cardan operation (poor greasing of sliding parts, incompatible rotating angles with the type of
cardan).
• Make sure ice does not form inside the pump when working at very low temperatures.
• Complete all routine maintenance, especially with regard to the oil.
WARNING
• Do not connect to the mains water supply.
• All hoses must be secured to their couplings with clamps.
Refer to Fig. 3 for a general layout of a typical machine with the pump and to the following table for the
hydraulic connections for the suction, delivery and by-pass lines:
1. Tank
2. Suction filter
3. Suction circuit
4. Pump
a) For use with a spray gun:
- Completely unwind the high-pressure hose;
- Connect the high-pressure hose to the delivery coupling using a clamp;
- Connect the gun to the high-pressure hose and make sure the lever is shut.
b) Connect the suction hose to its coupling if this has not already been done by the Manufacturer of the
machine with the pump, and check the filter is clean.
PRELIMINARY CHECKS
should complete the extraordinary maintenance as required.
