ENGINE LACKS POWER
Possible Cause
Air filter restricted.
Bad fuel, generator stored without
draining gasoline, or refueled with
bad gasoline.
Fuel filter restricted, fuel system
malfunction, fuel pump failure,
ignition malfunction, valves stuck,
etc.
NO POWER AT THE AC RECEPTACLES
Possible Cause
OUTPUT indicator is OFF, and
OVERLOAD ALARM indicator is ON.
CLT1 type only
AC Circuit protector(s) tripped.
Faulty power tool or appliance.
Faulty generator.
TAKING CARE OF UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS
Correction
Clean or replace air filter (see page
54).
Drain fuel tank (see page 65).
Refuel with fresh gasoline (see page
49).
Take the generator to an authorized
Honda servicing dealer, or refer to the
shop manual.
Correction
Check AC load. Stop and restart the
engine.
Check the cooling air inlet. Stop and
restart the engine.
Check AC load and reset AC circuit
protector(s) (see page 21).
Replace or repair power tool or
appliance.
Stop and restart the engine.
Take the generator to an authorized
Honda servicing dealer, or refer to the
shop manual.
