To prevent electrical shock, short circuit or arcing, this product must be
installed correctly and water ingress must be avoided before and during
the installation.
Before installing this product, read the installation instructions completely.
Verify the circuit length, maximum allowed power levels, circuit breaker
size and the maximum sheath temperature per nVent Thermal's design
software such as Trace Calc Pro.
To ensure the integrity of the components, additional restrictions to
the allowed power levels and additional requirements on the power
infrastructure apply that are outlined in this manual.
Failure to follow these restrictions can result in overheating of the
components, cables or power cable.
Allowed products, configurations & power levels:
The JBM-PI-EP can be used to make the connection from nVent RAYCHEM
XPI or XPI-S heating cables directly to a power supply without the use of
a cold lead
Each box can only be used to power one heating cable circuit, either
mono phased or tri phased
It can also be used as an end box for a mono phased circuit or for a tri phase
star system. The kit contains a skip jumper to realize the end connection.
The cables that can be connected are XPI-(S-)-1000 up to XPI-(S)-1.8.
