The connected tool is not or partially moving

Possible cause
The hydraulic oil level is too low.
There is air in the system.
There is dirt in the pump filters.
The hydraulic oil is too cold or too thick.
The valve is not operating properly.
The coupling between the drive and the pump is
defective.

The couplers do not connect or disconnect
/i
Possible cause
The couplers are dirty on the front.
The tool and/or hose are under pressure. This can
happen due to temperature fluctuations during
storage and transport.
The pump is under pressure.
The female coupler is faulty.
The couplers are not placed properly in line with
each other for connecting.
The couplers are not properly placed in line with
each other for disconnecting.
The snap ring of the female coupler is blocked by
dirt.
The deadman's handle of the tool is faulty.

The couplers do not stay connected

Possible cause
The external ring jams during connecting.
The locking mechanism in the female coupler
does not work.

Solution
Add oil.
Vent the system.
Contact an Holmatro Certified Technician to clean
the pump filters and check the movement of the
plunger blocks.
Use oil with higher viscosity.
Contact an Holmatro Certified Technician to
replace or repair the valve.
Contact an Holmatro Certified Technician to
replace or repair the coupling.
Solution
Clean the couplers.
Use the pressure relief tool to release the
pressure. Refer to section 5.7.
Set the pressure relief valve on the pump in the
"neutral" position.
Have it repaired by a Holmatro Certified
Technician.
Position both couplers properly in line with each
other and press them together in one smooth
action.
Support and guide the male coupler when
disconnecting.
Check the snap ring of the female coupler and
clean it.
Have it repaired by a Holmatro Certified
Technician.
Solution
Hold the hose at the bending restriction during
connecting.
•
Clean the female coupler with clean running
water.
•
Dry it and threat the inside of the external ring
with preservative oil.
•
Place and remove the dust cap repeatedly
until the external ring springs back.
