combustibles (central heating systems, etc.).
- Ventilate the environment correctly if the
hood functions simultaneously with other ap-
pliances fed by a different energy source so
that the hood does not extract mixed gases.
Attention! Maximum care must be taken to
ensure that the hood does not absorb part
of the air destined for combustion during the
simultaneous functioning of the hood with
an "extraction system" and a heating system
dependent on the ambient air (heaters that
use gas, oil, coal, chimneys, etc.) because it
could cause an accumulation of carbon mon-
oxide in dangerous quantities in the room or
the home which could cause death. If an ex-
traction hood is installed only or connected
to a combustion element such as a stove, a
chimney or a room heating system, it is com-
pulsory to contact the manufacturer and the
installer of these elements to have an optimal
functioning without any risk.
- Maintain a maximum ambient pressure of
0.04 mbar. This condition permits an excel-
lent functioning of the hood. To obtain this
type of ambience, permanently maintain the
air inlet open to avoid blocking the passage
of air (it is advisable to install an aeration
grill). Leaving windows and doors open is not
the right solution.
- The electricity mains supply must be stable
and in line with the indicated electrical re-
quirements (refer to the plate with the char-
acteristics of the appliance). If the electric-
ity mains supply is not stable and there were
variations of voltage, intensity or frequency,
harmonic distortion, transitory currents, volt-
age drops, overloads, temporal variations,
etc., the hood could malfunction or have a
fault and the repair would not be covered by
the guarantee. In this case, it will be neces-
sary to disconnect the hood and contact an
electrician or the electricity company to re-
solve the supply problem.
- The hood is a domestic electrical appliance
for extracting fumes. It must not be utilized
for hanging objects or cooking utensils.
- With the constant objective of improving
our products, we reserve the right to make
any evolutive modifications to the aesthetic,
functional and technical characteristics.
NORMS AND ADVICE
REGARDING
THE INSTALLATION
(The entire process of installation is re-
served exclusively for qualified installers
or official technical assistance).
Check that all components are in perfect
condition before proceeding with the in-
stallation.
If that is not the case, stop the installation
and contact the retailer. Once the appli-
ance has been installed, all defects such as
scratches, lines, knocks, etc. are not cov-
ered by the guarantee.
WARNINGS
The appliance is not intended for use by
young children or infirm persons without
supervision. Young children should be su-
pervised to ensure they do not play with
the appliance.
The air sucked can't be conveyed through
or into a duct used to let out fumes from
appliances fed by energy other than elec-
tric power (eg. centralized heating, radia-
tors, water-heaters, etc.).
To evacuate the air outlet, please comply
with the pertaining rules given by compe-
tent authorities.
Provide the room with an adequate aeration
when a cooker hood and appliances fed by
energy other than electric power (gas-, oil-,
or coal- stoves, etc.) are used simultaneously.
The cooker hood, when evacuating the sucked
air, could generate a negative pressure in the
room- which can't exceed the limit of 0.04
mbar, in order to avoid the suck of exhausts
deriving from the heat-source. Therefore the
room should be provided with air-intakes to
allow a costant flow of fresh air.
