Commissioning
Preparatory measures
1. Check that the installation complies with the regula-
tions.
2. Check the feed chemical: Avoid particles.
3. Check the direction of rotation of the motor.
4. Check the earthing lines.

Open the vent plug of the gear.

Note the following during commissioning:
Keep the suction line as short as possible.

Ensure that the height h is only less than or equal to
„
the suction lift of the pump, divided by the density of
the feed chemical.
Dimension the cross-section of the suction line in
„
such a way that the negative pressure created during
suction cannot reach the vapour pressure of the feed
chemical (cavitation!).
When priming, set the stroke length to 100% and, if
„
possible, depressurise the pressure side.
Adhere to the instructions in the operating instructions
„
for metering pumps with integral vent valve.
The valves may no longer close properly with feed
„
chemicals with a particle size of greater than 0.3 mm.
Install an appropriate filter in the suction line.
